Your new born is now ready to start eating baby foods. That happened quickly. But it is about time that he starts eating foods. At four and half years old, it was just a while ago that he started eating oatmeal. This is my second child and I am pretty much experienced now. Yet, I am as nervous as I was the first time and it is about time that I get to know more about it.
My first kid is old enough and has her food preferences set right. However, they seem to be different than the food habits of my second child. How things evolved have been different for both. My first child was six months old when I first fed her with organic cereal along with warmed breast milk, so that she gets used to it, and it worked like a charm!
It was a very smooth transition and I did not expect it to be so smooth. But it has been entirely different with my second child and he refused to eat what was being fed to him, unlike my first child who actually was looking forward for proper solid foods within no time. For my first child, I started feeding her with little food before each meal, so that she gets used to it and eventually stops feeding on breast milk.
Why I chose organic foods
The reason is as simple as it gets: I wanted her to have real food. Organic baby food is essential so that the nutrition intake of the infant is maintained. The best organic baby foods you can ever lay your hands will only contain apples. If not for apples, the other additives that will be used are water to soften grains, real cinnamon or real granola; just to enhance the flavor. In my daughter’s case, it was only once that she spat the food out and I did not force her further. But the rest of the time, she easily finished the entire bowl. Although it was an extra effort to feed her with organic baby foods, it was worth the effort involved. It is a wonderful practice to slowly transition your baby’s diet from breast milk to solid organic food. Not only will your baby stop feeling uncomfortable, but will also want more of solid foods eventually. The nutrition intake will also be maintained as your baby will be eating healthy and organic food, which is highly important to ensure an all-round growth of your baby. Rather than exploring different foods, I highly recommend that you get some beverage so that you can feed the baby and also get to taste some!
